The Table at Your Table
A Call to Biblical Hospitality
For the first two years of River City, we gathered on the first Wednesday of every month as a church family for The Table - a potluck meal where all our House Churches came together to share food, stories, and life. It was a beautiful expression of Gospel community and family.
As we grow in our mission to live out the Gospel in every area of life, we're introducing a new vision for The Table. Instead of gathering all together in one place, we're inviting every person in our church family to embrace the heart of The Table in their own homes.
We know that hosting can feel daunting, but it doesn't have to be complicated. It's not about having the perfect home or cooking the perfect meal - it's about making space for others.
To help you live out The Table at Your Table, we'll provide:
Practical Tips for Hosting
Ideas for simple meals, welcoming guests, and fostering meaningful conversations.
Encouragement and Stories
Testimonies of others who have seen God work through their table.
Gospel Conversations
Resources to help you share your faith naturally through hospitality.
What is "The Table at Your Table"?
The Table at Your Table is a shift from gathering as a large group to practicing biblical hospitality in your own space. On the first Wednesday of every month, we encourage you to use your table to invite others in and create Gospel-centered connections.
This is your opportunity to live out the hospitality modeled by Jesus and bring The Table to life right where you are.
How it works
Host a Meal
Open your home (or use a local cafe or restaurant) to share a meal with others.
Live Intentionally
Use this time to invite someone new - a coworker, a neighbor, someone you want to get to know from our church family - to join you at your table.
Be Present
Use the meal as a time to connect deeply, share stories, and foster Gospel-centered relationships.
Live on Mission
See your table as a place where God's love can be shared and lives can be impacted.
